Xiaomi has released the MIUI 8 Global Beta ROM 6.11.3. The company says that they have taken concerns from various alpha/beta testers, users, and several moderators in order to recommend you to flash this ROM. This ROM has even received a recommendation rate of 94.44% which means the ROM should be installed.
The MIUI 8 6.11.3 brings the antivirus scans for the apps that are installed from third party stores like APKs from any website or so. The scan tells to how much extent the apps have been optimized or if some apps need an optimization. The ROM brings one more change as well but for India ROM only.
The second visible change is improvements to Mi Picks, however, this change is only available for India. The 1-stop shop for app recommendations has received a change, according to which, the “Featured” section now shows the new apps with a label. All the labels are attached to the top left of each available app in the “Featured” section. For instance, in the image, you can see the labels to each app – “Music & Audio” and “Entertainment.”
The “Collections” tab sitting next to the “Featured” Tab is also added with some special categories for instance, “Must Have” and “Proud of India.” As the name implies, the “Must Have” highlights some of the most popular apps that almost every user will find useful. And, “Proud of India” highlights some of the best apps made by and for Indians.
These changes bring the best way to make you aware of new and best apps around you. However, compared to China MIUI 8 Developer ROM 6.11.3, the Global update brings a lesser number of changes. Like, for China, the ROM brings custom mobile data plan Settings for Mi Data, there are also a few changes associated with Mi Wallet. But, these changes didn’t make available in the Global Beta ROM.
